Description

Where were you on the evening of November 12, 1980? Well one lucky dude or dudette was sitting in the first balcony at The Police concert in Dallas Texas that night. Our guess is that on the way home he or she pulled this flier off a pole and kept it as a memento along with the hole punched ticket. It was probably quite a concert. In the late 70s and early 80s this amazing English band was getting more and more attention on the global scene. 1980 was when they released Zenyatta Mondatta with the hit singles “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” & “De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da”. With cover art resembling this poster they would no doubt have been playing those songs as well as their ‘78 and ‘79 hits “Roxanne”, “Can’t Stand Loosing You”, “Message in a Bottle” and “Walking on the Moon” on stage that night.
A night to remember and for us all to imagine, with this poster and ticket, and the LPs going round and round. Only one available (it’s in a sleeve with cardboard and not glued down)

Original vintage promotional poster and original ticket from The Police concert at McFarlane Auditorium, Dallas Texas, November 12, 1980. Some discoloration and few creases, but wholy original and wonderful for one lucky Police fan.

Poster is 17 inches high x 11 inches wide.
