Authentic vintage Mexican Biker Ring, circa 1940s, featuring Skull and Crossbones and Fleur de Lis emblems on either side. Size 8
Popularized by the 1940s biker clubs who hung out on the border towns these tough looking oversize rings, made from melted down pesos, caught on as a motorcycle jewelry trend across the US. The craze grew even more during the Johnny Law era when brass knuckles were outlawed and bikers substituted an oversized ring on every finger for the fist fighting weapon of choice.
These days, thankfully, they’re worn as more of a fashion statement by those in the know.
This 1940s Mexican biker ring featuring skull and crossbones is in overall good condition, it shows superficial authentic wear as is consistent with age and use.
