Logo says proudly: "Horizon's West by Nathan Pratt Santa Monica California USA". Lower deck has quintessential Bones Brigade and POP laminates. Pacific Ocean Park (POP) is of course the derelict amusement pier made infamous by the Dogtown Tribe, particularly the Zephyr, Engblom, Jeff Ho, et al Posse.
Zephyr Surfboards closed it's doors in 1976. In 1977 Nathan Pratt opened Horizons West in the exact same location, just a short walk from the now famous POP / Dogtown surf break. In 1987 ownership transferred to Randy Wright and sadly the doors closed in 2010.
This board is dated 1982, shaped and signed by Nathan Pratt. It has a classic glassed in tri-fins with Nathan Pratt signature. This board is ride-able and water tight. It's been fully repaired and polished by our friends at Aquatech Glassing. A collectors piece with history that's ready to ride the waves, hang on the wall or both.
