Job Description:

We are seeking one outstanding experienced retail sales team leader to step in and help bolster our existing sales team.This candidate should have significant experience working in apparel sales,be highly organized, operationally minded, and dedicated to building the Surfing Cowboys brand.

 

The position reports directly to the owners and will beresponsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and front-facing sales and management of our retail store. The Retail Sales Specialist will ensure all store standards are being adhered to, sales are cultivated and closed, operations are being executed and all business needs of our Malibu location are being met he/she will also be responsible for helping to create and maintain an atmosphere that promotes a positive work environment, while increasing sales and profits.

 

Like our sales associates, the Retail Sales Team Leader should enjoy the art of storytelling, as we approach sales as matchmakers, pairing our customers with the unique and wide-ranging product selection. This candidate should also feel inspired by the Surfing Cowboys lifestyle and aesthetic, as all representatives are first and foremost, ambassadors of the brand and will be conveying our brand message.

 

Responsibilities include:

Assist with the coordination of all activities of daily operations, including but not limited to: planning, forecasting, time management, inventory management, staffing and procurement.

 

Play an active role on the sales floor, modeling sales techniques and behavior to the team through customer engagement and salesmanship, ensuring quality customer service is provided and shop goals are met.

 

Inventory management, product entry, orders, transfers, check ins, processing, storage management, inventory presentation and display.

 

Increasing positive customer experiences to build loyalty and deliver measurable results.

 

Compliance with all Loss Prevention quarterly self-audits, monthly cycle counts, incident reporting and monthly

inventory reconciliations to ensure annual inventory shrinkage is below company target and re-orders are placed in a timely manner.

 

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

 

Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed at all times.

 

Ensure that the company is run in accordance with company standards, policies and government regulations.

 

Qualifications

 

5+ years retail sales, leadership experience a plus

5+ years operations and logistics experience preferred

 

Experience selling both vintage and new merchandise

Flexible leader that is willing to adapt to our brand culture

Excellent written communication and computer skills

Problem-solver

Self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented and able to multitask

Adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the business

Highly proficient with technology, computers and Instagram

Experience with Shopify POS, Shopify E-Commerce and G-Suite preferred,

Foreign language skills a plus

Must be authorized to work in the USA

Must have drivers License

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Must be available to work weekends
