For the traveler, the daydreamer, the road-taker, and the one always heading somewhere. This early 1960s St. Christopher pendant pairs sterling silver with soft blue enamel and a vintage sterling infinity chain — a small talisman with a long cultural ride.

Description

Light blue enamel, sterling silver, and a little protection for the road ahead.

This dreamy early 1960s St. Christopher pendant features a sterling silver setting with pale blue enamel lettering and a white enamel center. It hangs from a vintage sterling silver infinity chain, giving the piece an easy, old-school elegance — part devotional medal, part beach-town keepsake, part “don’t worry, I’ve got you” charm.

St. Christopher has long been known as the patron saint of travelers, and his medals became especially beloved as tokens of protection for those moving through the world by car, plane, boat, bike, board, or imagination. In California beach towns during the 1950s–70s, St. Christopher pendants also carried a sweet romantic meaning, often exchanged as a “going steady” token — a little promise worn close to the heart.

Released from the official calendar, perhaps — but never from the people. We like to think St. Christopher still looks after anyone traveling across time, space, situation, and consciousness.
