Pure mid-century California spirit. An original John Muir College megaphone in deep cobalt blue and gold, with spirited mascot graphics, honest patina, and the kind of presence that turns a shelf, wall, or room into a conversation.

Description

Raise your voice for the Golden State — this is the real thing, straight from the sun-bleached bleachers of postwar California.

John Muir College was a proud Pasadena institution from 1946 to 1954, set beneath the San Gabriel Mountains during the optimistic postwar years. This original megaphone carries that history with real presence.

Painted deep cobalt blue with bold gold lettering, it features a ribbon banner and three spirited horse mascots carrying the letters J, M, and C. The solid metal construction includes its original riveted side handle, with chips, scuffs, and honest age throughout.

When the college program folded into Pasadena City College in 1954, a brief chapter of Southern California history came to a close. A rare survivor from that era, this megaphone displays beautifully as sports memorabilia, a California-history artifact, or a strong decorative object with unmistakable mid-century character.
