1920 English Silver-Plate Cricket Presentation Cigarette Case

An oversized piece of English sporting history with genuine old-club character. Presented to Mr. T. Smith by Fussells Sports Club in recognition of his service during the 1920 cricket season, this substantial engraved silver-plate cigarette case carries more than a century of patina, personal history, and beautifully worn charm.

An oversized silver-plate presentation cigarette case with genuine old sporting-club character.

Presented to Mr. T. Smith by Fussells Sports Club in recognition of his service during the 1920 cricket season, this substantial century-old case has the weight, patina, and beautifully worn presence of an object that was carried and kept.

The front is richly engraved with foliate scrollwork surrounding an unmonogrammed shield-shaped cartouche. The reverse carries the original inscription:
