Swimming Memorabilia, Poster, Trophy, Kick-board

Was: $2,950.00
Now: $1,250.00

Collection of swim memorabilia, circa 1930-1940s. All original and wonderful for display. This collection features an original 1940s printed Red Cross "Learn to Swim" poster in glorious vivid color mounted on linen, in excellent condition. A wooden swim kickboard designed to keep the novice
buoyant whilst learning how to kick their feet correctly. And, a 1938 trophy won by Margaret Thompson at the NC Olympics. While we cannot find information on either the swimmer or the event we can say that this trophy is a
work of art with fabulous detail in its' facial, physical and sculptural aspects
giving the sense of an athlete prepared to explode into action.

Unlike the poster the kick board and trophy were heavily used vintage pieces, they exhibit wear consistent with age and use including loss of color, chips and scratches. The poster is a vintage edition mounted on linen, it is in excellent condition that has been recently mounted on linen.

Measurements are as follows:
Poster: 22.5" H x 16.25" W (Linen: 24" H x 17.75" W).
Trophy: 10" H x 4" W x 4" D".
Kickboard: 19.25" L x 12" W x 1.75" D.
