Emilio Lanzi 1884-1965 Lanzi was an internationally known painter, writer, lecturer and teacher, born in Bern Switzerland, who studied in the Swiss Art Academy of Bern: in the Ecole des Beaux Arts, and the Colorossi and Academie Julienne in Paris France. Lanzi took 2 years of Anatomy and drawing in the Sorbonne University, and a course in portraiture in the Academy at Munich Germany. Lanzi came to Los Angeles in 1931, where he and his wife maintained a studio, and became famous for exquisite California and Arizona desert scenes. He is a listed artist who has had several exhibitions over the years.
