The term "Hang 5" is a surf term adopted by the skate community which means to put 5 toes over the front edge of the board. The graphic on this board is a water-transfer that was applied at the time of manufacture, it exhibits no scratches or peeling. The artwork itself is by Monte (1964) and illustrates how 'hang five' is done with a colorful skateboarding character in red, blue, yellow and cream. This skateboard retains it's original Chicago 76 Clay wheels and Chicago trucks that have never touched the ground. Chicago clay wheels represent the second generation of wheels that were mounted on wooden skateboards the first commercial wood skateboards were produced using metal wheels.
