This is an exceptionally rare Duke Kahanamoku skateboard, it was made in the early 1960s and is in all original vintage condition. Measuring 34.5 inches long with a fabulous portrait of duke adorning the wooden deck this skateboard makes a wonderful display piece. In Hawaii Duke was a huge celebrity. He had his own surfing team and even more important his own surfing competition, the Duke Invitational. Over time the varnish on the wooden deck has alligatored (turned into separated globules), this process doesn't detract from the overall beauty of the piece but rather confirms originality. The logo and portrait show really well, they are crisp and clear. The weathered wooden deck and clay wheels show wear but are not beaten. This is an extremely rare board, it will enhance any skateboard, surfing or Duke Kahanamoku collection.
Dimensions: 34.5 inches long x 3.5 inches high x 6.5 inches wide
