The quintessential American brand Drexel Heritage has been crafting high quality furniture since 1903. In the 1950s, they commissioned two well-respected California modernists Kip Stewart and Stewart McDougall to design the Declaration collection. Shortly after its release, The U.S. Government Design Committee selected several of the pieces from the collection to exhibit in the Brussels World's Fair and the line gained world recognition. Todays collectors and designers still regard declaration as an important capsule of Mid-Century Modern design.
