This 1960s Dextra Belly Board was made at the height of the longboard era to have the look of a traditional surfboard of the day at a quarter of the size. The perfect way to bring Classic authentic 1960s surf aesthetic into a home or office without the space commitment required to display a longboard. This Dextra board was produced in 1964 in Costa Mesa, California by the same company that produced the Royal Hawaiian and Cutlass Surfboards. We've always had an appreciation for Dextra Boards for their size, shape, vintage sensibility and wonderful logos and graphics... they're great to ride and also great to decorate with. Aesthetically this Dextra Belly Board will merge easily into interior settings and the sunny yellow and cherry red harken back to Beach Boy era stripes and summer smiles. The prominently featured Dextra Logo, the Dextra name, Trident and Sun, is a favorite of ours and made a design contribution to the surf myth, embraced and later propelled by the surf culture industry.
