Orig. $7000. NOW $5950. This board was made from one piece of solid wood and retains its original paint. At just over seven feet long this board was a popular size for the time - it's not too heavy and it's yet large enough that the rider would be able to stand up on it or ride it prone. Boards like this were often "family" boards with several generations enjoying them. It should be noted that it was common that homemade boards were painted with whatever paint might have been left in the shed from another project. We're loving that this board was painted with not quite red and not quite mint colors....and find ourselves wondering what the rest of the paint might have been used on. This board was hand shaped and has hand scarfed rounded rails and a hand planed nose that shows great woodworking skills. A real winner.
